Gorgeous Wedding Tent Set up in Onekama, MI at Canfield House

In the Fall of 2020 we had the pleasure of setting up for a wedding in front of the Canfield House in Onekama, MI.

The Canfield House is a charming cottage, built in the 1900s and formerly owned by the renowned lumber baron Charles Canfield, has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its original allure and character.

We instantly recognized the appeal for Wedding Rentals in this location after seeing the view from the front door overlooking Portage Lake.

After a short meeting with the clients we agreed on a perfect spot. We discussed underground utilities for staking and after developing a plan, we got started.

Months earlier, the clients talked about their wedding plans during the COVID-19 pandemic. We managed to adapt to the constantly changing guest counts and restrictions that came with hosting an event in the Coronavirus Era.

We eventually settled on the tent size, chair, and table count. The clients were also interested in lighting since since the sun sets around 7pm in late fall. We added crisscross Cafe Lighting. Also since the sun was going down earlier, the tent was equipped with walls to help keep some heat as it cooled off at night.

The tent was the perfect size for the guest count. 30'x45' tent with walls, White Resin Chairs, and 60'' Round Tables. Each table was covered with a white linen for the clients to put their custom made centerpieces on. Lastly, the tent was adorned with Cafe String lights through out to put off just the right amount of lighting for dinner reception over looking Portage Lake.

This is a truly beautiful location with great mix of historical restoration and modern amenities.

The set up went great and the weather was phenomenal for both the set up day and the day of the event. Both clients were very pleased with how everything turned out.
